Digitally recorded in April 1997 and privately released on a very few CDrs, the album 'Montaggio' by Siegmar Fricke entered new territories and completely distanced from previous Siegmar Fricke-'pop'-albums by focussing on reduction, midified combination of various machines, sequenced experimentation, filtermodulation, sharpened grooves, modulated voices, deletion of melodic elements. 'Montaggio' demonstrated that already in 1997 the age of retro and tape-sound was over. Instead the album introduced idiosyncratic sound-design and still sounds fresh and future-oriented. Digitally remastered in July 2018 at Pharmakustik-studio. The bonustrack 'Invakrom' was originally recorded in November 1996.
